What Can I Say? : Part Three

Today we come the end of our blog series “What Can I Say?”

As we often get overwhelmed with the idea of talking to others about Jesus, it has been my hope that this blog series has illustrated to each of us that we are already on mission for Christ each day.

Thus far we have discussed the following points:
  1. Remember - You have already started.
  2. Look for opportunities to mention Jesus.
  3. Pray before you meet.
  4. Be Yourself.
  5. Invite to other events than Sunday morning “church.”

Today are two very important things to remember when you consider talking to others.

Our final two topics are:

6. Don’t listen to Satan! Remember that if you are burdened about someone’s salvation and working diligently to help them come to Christ then you are working against Satan himself.  Satan will work extra hard to try to discourage you.  He will convince you that you are not good enough, you are not the right person, this person will never come to Christ, you don’t have the right words, etc.  He will throw everything at you to shake your confidence.  Remember, Satan does not want you talking about Jesus  - but even more - Satan does not want your friend placing their faith in Jesus.  Don’t be discouraged. Be patient and wait upon the Lord.

7. Remember that Salvation is God’s work, not yours!  We are commissioned to share the Good News, not save people.  God is the Lord of the Harvest (Matt 9:38).

I hope this has been helpful, encouraging and also inspiring for you to be bold and share the GREAT NEWS of Jesus with others.

Matthew 9:37-38
Then he [Jesus] said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
