Alive in Christ , Dead to Sin
Romans 6: Paul begins with answering a question that has been relevant for centuries.  If God's grace abounds beyond the reach of our sin and God receives glory by extending His grace to cover our sin - then should we not just keep sinning?  Paul strives to help us understand that one that has truly been saved can not continue to live in sin. One can not be dead to sin and continue to live in sin.  Instead, one who has been justified by God's grace and mercy has been totally transformed. Salvation removes, destroys, nullifies the sin nature in which we once lived. Therefore, "By no means."  We can not continue to live in sin.

    Imagine Going Home
I can only imagine what it will be like.  As we enjoy a special day in worship, we step away from our study in the book of Romans to allow our imagination to be captured by God.  Often times we imaging HOME. Our home in heaven is awaiting us but we also are at home here.  Discover that HOME is in the presence of Jesus.  Just imagine what your life would be like if you walked realizing that Jesus is with you every day, in every situation and every circumstance.  Come Home to Jesus.

    Eternally Secure? – Part 2
In Romans 5 the Apostle Paul tells us that we REJOICE in HOPE of the glory of God.  We can be secure knowing that God promises to bring us into His glory. He promises to glorify us with Him in Heaven. In this you can be sure.  As you listen to this sermon, may you be reminded of the blessings of God in which we should shout and rejoice.

    Eternally Secure – Part 1
After Paul has illustrated through Father Abraham that salvation comes by faith, not works, law or human effort, he provides the evidence that faith is sufficient to secure your salvation.  Paul provides us with Six Key Permanent Gifts in the Link of Salvation.  In this sermon, we will discover the first two links of this unbreakable chain - Peace with God and Access to Grace in which we STAND.

    The Thrilling Truth Part 2
We continue in our short series "The Thrilling Truth."  What a tremendous truth to know that we do not have to work for our salvation - simply genuinely believe and confess Jesus as our Lord.  All other religions are works based religions.  Hinduism takes a plunge in the Ganges River to be cleanses from sin. Jews during the time of Paul required circumcision in order to enter heaven.  Catholics place their faith in baptism, communion and other sacraments as requirements for salvation.  We are challenged by Paul to throw of the chains of legalism and put our faith in Jesus alone.

    The Thrilling Truth Part 1
Romans, Chapter 4 is a thrilling to truth for those that are trying to earn the favor of God.  Paul, using Abraham as the illustration, proves that Abraham, as well as everyone, is saved by faith and not works, saved by God's grace and not by the Law and finally saved by God's divine power, not by human effort.

    No, Not One
In Romans chapter 3, the Apostle Paul focuses our attention on four things that all humanity has in common: The undeniable fact of SIN; the fact that God loves everyone; the fact that the power and purpose in the Cross of Christ is for everyone; and all humanity is saved through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

    Taking Advantage of God’s Goodness
In Romans 2 our studies turn to the moralist.  Those individuals who do right, who do good yet have the wrong motives in their heart.  Paul tells us that this includes people of religion and we/they also have no excuse and are fooling themselves if they feel they are escaping God's judgment.  These individuals take God's goodness for granted and presume that they will be okay when in fact they are simply heaping God's wrath upon themselves day after day after day.

Above and Beyond with Lord’s Supper
    Series: Come Alive
On Palm Sunday we remember Jesus'  entry into Jerusalem.  This day is filled with symbolism.  The donkey, the palm branches and even rocks are visual reminders of God's promise to the world.  In each case Jesus went above and beyond the expectations of the people.  During this service we also observed the Lord's Supper which is full of symbolism used to remind us of Jesus' life, death and promised return.

Falling in Love with the Gospel
As we conclude our "Falling in Love Again" series our attention focuses on the Gospel.  In Romans chapter one, the Apostle Paul challenges us to not be ashamed of the Gospel.  True Christians will LOVE the Gospel because it is the Power of God for salvation. It is because of our belief in the Gospel that we are clothed in righteousness of Christ. Can people that you meet see that you love the Gospel?

Part 5 of our series, "Falling in Love with God's Word" focuses on the scripture passage found in 1 Peter 2:1-3. Do you have a love for, a longing for,  the spiritual milk of God's Word? Your desire for God's will, your love for Christ, your love for others, your spiritual maturity - it all starts with the Love of God's Word.

Falling In Love Again with “The Church”
In Part 4 of our "Falling In Love Again" series we look at Ephesians chapter 5.  Paul uses the metaphor of a marriage between a husband and wife to describe how we should love the church.  In this sermon each aspect of a traditional wedding is outlined and compared to our relationship (as the church) to Jesus and challenges us to love the Church because Jesus loved the church.

Falling in Love Again with the Lost
Part 3 of our series brings us face-to-face with our love for the lost in the world - those we know and those we don't. In Luke 16, Jesus tells a parable of a rich man and a pauper.  The rich man cries from hell for someone to be SENT to his family, LEST they end up in torment like him.  This is the cry of the lost - SEND... LEST.  If we truly hear the cry and love the lost we will be like Paul who said he removes all hindrances to sharing the Gospel.  Jesus' example of compassion and agony must be our example when considering the lost of our world.  May we no longer be a "feeling-less" faith. My our heart break for the lost.

Falling In Love Again with Others

Last week we discussed the Greatest Command is to Love God. The second greatest commandment is to love our neighbor. As we continue in our series, "Falling in Love Again," we see that loving others is not a suggestion but a command from our Lord Jesus. We see that others people includes our neighbors, our fellow believers, our family and even our enemies. Do others know that you are Christian by our love?

Falling In Love Again with Jesus
Love always begins exciting, fervent and red-hot!  As life continues, that excitement of new love often begins to wane.  Sometimes our love can grow cold, distant and stale.  In Revelation 2 we see a church that is experiencing this same type of fluctuation in their love for Christ.  They are doing all the right things but their love has grown mechanical, routine and dutiful.  How can we reignite our love for Jesus just like it was when we were first saved.  Scripture tells us to Remember, Repent, Repeat and Remain.  Listen to Part 1 of our series - "Falling in Love Again with Jesus."

There Is Something Going On Around Here
On this day we observe the Lord's Supper.  A special time in our church as we remember our Lord Jesus Christ, His Sacrifice and His Gift of Salvation.  We also reflect on our Christian life.  Today we focus on our horizontal relationship with other people.  The Lord's Supper is a time to be unified as a local church body.  Remembrance, Reflection and Anticipation of the Lord's Return are the key elements of our time together at The Lord's Table.

Father’s Day: Dad, You Are Important
We live on an active battlefield. The battle is not in some far off land. The battlefield is in our homes. The next generation is leaving the faith in record numbers. Dads, you are most important in this battle. The responsibility of raising children in the faith is the responsibility of the parents. Dad, do your children know that you know God? Are you raising your children to know Jesus?
